Where does your money go?

The grants that HPEF funds are developed and proposed by teachers and staff in our school district, with final approval from the Board of Education. The aim is to have the educators try new ideas, expand the classroom beyond four walls, and enhance their students’ learning experience. Proposals from all district schools, grade levels, and curriculum areas are encouraged. HPEF grants range from physical additions to the classroom, such as books and projectors, to experiences, such as author visits or a trip to a theater to see a performance of a play they’ve studied in class, to supporting groups such as DECA, Model UN, and the Robotics Club.

The Highland Park Educational Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and thus all donations are tax-deductible.
